HELPING LEADERS CONNECT, GROW, AND FINISH STRONG
Better Together is a para-church network that believes in fostering meaningful connections and offering consistent encouragement to pastors and church leaders in order to help them grow resiliently and finish strong in their ministry. It’s a place for leaders to feel seen, heard, and valued—a reminder that while they may lead alone, they don’t have to walk the journey alone. Through genuine community and shared experiences, Better Together aims to empower leaders to continue their work with renewed purpose, resilience, and joy.
WHO WE ARE
Better Together began in 2014 as a joint effort by Pure Heart Church and Palm Valley Church in Phoenix, aiming to foster unity and encourage partnerships across Arizona, bringing about meaningful change in our communities. This initiative has since sparked citywide and statewide partnerships to make a lasting difference.
WHAT WE DO
At its core, Better Together is about connection. Through regular events and small group gatherings known as Pastor Huddles, Better Together offers leaders a safe space to share their struggles and triumphs. These spaces allow pastors to come as they are, sharing the personal and professional challenges that come with ministry, whether it’s the pressures of leadership, the complexities of balancing family and ministry life, or the need for spiritual renewal.
With a focus on encouragement and growth, Better Together provides opportunities for leaders to reflect, recharge, and gain fresh insights that strengthen their journey. The community hosts bi-annual gatherings, offering leaders a chance to come together, share meals, and discuss topics relevant to today’s church and culture. But the heart of Better Together lies in its Pastor Huddles, small groups tailored to different pastoral roles—senior pastors, youth pastors, executive pastors, and more—providing a supportive setting where leaders can find peers who truly understand their unique experiences.
